Social Media Manager

Join the Artificial Intelligence in Medical Systems Society (AIMSS) as a volunteer Social Media Manager and amplify our impact in healthcare AI. Devote about 2 hours per week to manage our LinkedIn, Instagram, and Slack presence, ensuring a vibrant and professional online space. Responsibilities include scheduling and posting approved content, resharing relevant posts, and actively engaging with our community to enhance AIMSS's visibility and engagement. A thorough guideline provided will empower you to maintain an active, informative, and engaging social media presence aligned with our mission and values.

Responsibilites


  • Content Management: Schedule and post approved content on AIMSS’s LinkedIn, Instagram, and Slack channels according to our communications guide. Ensure content aligns with our mission to advance knowledge in AI and healthcare.

  • Community Engagement: Monitor and engage with followers by responding to comments and messages professionally. Foster a supportive online community by facilitating discussions and encouraging participation in AIMSS events and initiatives.

  • Content Curation: Reshare relevant posts from aligned organizations or thought leaders, adding value to our community by broadening the scope of information available.

  • Brand Consistency: Maintain a consistent tone and aesthetic across all platforms that reflect AIMSS’s role as a leader in healthcare AI. Ensure all visual and textual content meets our standards for professionalism and inclusivity.

  • Reporting and Monitoring: Keep track of engagement metrics and report on social media performance.

Qualifications


Required:


  • Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Slack. Familiarity with scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and understanding platform analytics.

  • A grasp of the issues at the intersection of AI and healthcare, aligning with the organization’s goals and ethical standards

  • Demonstrable communication skills

Desired:


  • Formal education or training in any of the following: health, information technology, artificial intelligence, communications, marketing, digital media

  • The capacity to analyze social media metrics to refine strategies and improve engagement

  • Being up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices, especially those relevant to non-profit and healthcare sectors
