Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager ensures AIMSS events are widely visible. You will compile and manage a list of advertising avenues, and send out event announcements through the appropriate channels. You will also work with the communications team to develop strategies to boost attendance and engagement, which may include social media campaigns, designing promotional materials, and coordinating messaging with other outreach efforts.
Responsibilities:
Compile and maintain a list of advertising and promotional channels (e.g., email lists, student newsletters, community boards)
Send out timely announcements and event updates through appropriate outlets.
Collaborate with the communications team to develop outreach strategies.
Support the design and distribution of promotional materials (digital and print).
Assist with scheduling and monitoring social media campaigns related to events.
Track engagement, attendance numbers, and reach to inform future strategies.
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with marketing strategies and tools.
Creative thinker with the ability to propose innovative marketing ideas and solutions.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired:
Experience coordinating marketing strategies for academic or nonprofit events.
Experience in digital marketing or event promotion.

Estimated weekly time commitment:
2-3 hours per week
4-7 hours per week in the 2 months leading up to large events
