Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager will lead the marketing strategy for the AI in Healthcare conference as well as the Health AI stream of the Upper Bound AI Conference, focusing on increasing awareness and driving attendance. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive marketing plans, overseeing content creation, and coordinating promotional activities across various channels. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the conference task force to ensure cohesive messaging and branding, utilizing innovative approaches to engage the target audience effectively. This position is crucial to the overall success of the conference by ensuring a strong presence and engagement within the healthcare and AI communities.

Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the AI in Healthcare conference and the Health AI stream within the Upper Bound AI Conference.

  • Oversee the creation of appealing marketing material for social media, email campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials, by the Graphic Designer and Social Media Manager.

  • Collaborate with the Sponsorship Manager and the Conference Coordinator along with the Graphic Designer to create sponsorship packages for the AI in Healthcare Conference.

  • Identify and analyze target audiences to tailor marketing efforts effectively.

  • Collaborate with the Conference Coordinator and other team members to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all platforms.

  • Manage the conference marketing and advertising budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize outreach (in collaboration with the AI in Medical Systems Society Finance Team)

  • Monitor industry trends and competitive events to identify opportunities for promotion and engagement.

  • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing insights for continuous improvement.

  • Organize and coordinate pre-conference promotional events and initiatives.

  • Build partnerships with relevant organizations and stakeholders to expand the conference's reach.


Required qualifications:


  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience with social media, digital marketing, or content creation.

  • Familiarity with marketing strategies and tools.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to propose innovative marketing ideas and solutions.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


Desired qualifications:


  • Strong background in marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • Experience with event promotion, conference marketing, or public relations.

  • Proficiency in graphic design or video editing.

  • Basic understanding of AI and healthcare.


Estimated weekly time commitment:


  • 3-5 hours per week during the planning phase (up to 4 months before the event).

  • 7-9 hours per week in the final 2 months leading up to the conference.

  • 20+ hours during the week of the conference, including potential full-day availability for event promotion and management.

  • Time commitment estimates are flexible depending on evolving event needs
